Hi Obie — I added a picture of the nutrition fact label on our Nutrisystem Shake page. I can only eat about 15 at a time which is one serving before it fills me up. I would drink more water than usual and I would also drink some pickle juice to help with this change. This may sound stupid and most may have already known this but I did not. Two years later, they had kept about half the weight off. Here is the website link: Can they be used with the special ADO plan..

There are definitely some ways to keep the costs down though. You will definitely want to incorporate fresh produce, though, as I think you would get tired of only eating their pre-made meals, and you will want to mix in a salad or something on most days just to get the health benefits from the fresh produce if nothing else.
Hi Pete — the frozen food is an additional charge, but can be included in your 4-week order or as an ala carte item. Many are on a fixed income and I am one of them … an older woman, a widow, and on a very fixed income. With the profit your company surely must realize, might you consider offering your program free to a few deserving people men and women who would benefit from it as well?
Just something you might consider … it just might be of benefit to your company in another way … good will! The Costco purchased gift cards can definitely be used and there is a space at checkout to put them in.
You will just have to make sure you put the gift card in a few days before the processing date for additional deliveries. I just went through this whole process and received my order today. Thanks for the very thorough cost information. Helped make my decision a lot easier. I agree, too, the frozen meals are definitely a nice bonus — especially the desserts!
There are some costs with buying your own fruits or vegetables to consider too, but overall it seems fairly affordable. Anyways, thanks for the detailed pricing breakdown, really appreciate it. Is it organic or are there a lot of preservatives in It.
Hi Isabel — Thanks for visiting. Hi Arlene — Thanks for visiting. I have always found it to be very easy to opt out. As long as you stay on the program for at least two months, you should be able to cancel without paying any type of penalty if you need to cancel after month 1 I mention one way to avoid the penalty in the review above , and customer service has always been very easy to deal with when I have needed to call them.
I live in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Where in Canada can I join. Are the costs of the meals increased to take in the difference between the American and Canadian do. Also what about duty and taxes, as well as shipping fees.
I am a woman ,77 yrs old and need to lose at least 25 lbs. Please try to enlighten me. Thank you very much for your assistance. What exactly is in the Turbo Shakes? Are the ingredients identified on the package? Best of luck — Norm. Hi Obie — I added a picture of the nutrition fact label on our Nutrisystem Shake page. I have limited freezer space and feel that the frozen foods would be the way for me to start and continue a controlled size appropriate diet.
Does anyone offer three or four shipments monthly? If you get the Basic plan none of the foods are frozen, so that may be another option you could consider. Diet-to-Go has a weekly shipment option — we have a review about them here: Hope that helps — NS. I have used your plan several years ago and did loose weight, but have gained some back. I am 81 yrs old and on a fixed income now. Having to buy extra food is not feasible me. Any suggestions how I can use your plan without extra purchases?

Great, detailed price breakdown. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Thanks for taking the time to comment, Mario. If you are local to me and want to borrow mine copy I would be happy to loan it to you. The last thing that I realized I really needed was a protein powder. I really like the Dyamtize Whey Protein Isolate birthday cake flavor.
This part is easy. There are tons of Keto Calculators out there to help you determine what your numbers need to be. I personally really like the simplicity of this Keto Calculator to determine my own diet numbers.
This calculator will help you determine your macronutrients and how much of what you should be eating every day! Macronutrients are nutrients that provide energy for your body and each body is different. Protein is always a target goal. Try hard to meet that target but not go over on the amount. Carbs are a limit. Use fat as a lever. Eat enough fat until you are full. This is an excellent book to start out with if you want to read in more detail exactly how this diet works and meal plans for a full 30 days are included.
This is the only book that I have found that goes into detail about how much you should consume if you are trying to lose weight.
She states the typical numbers for weight maintenance and ketosis is a percent ratio but if you are trying to lose weight she suggests sticking to a 20 grams or less in carb intake while keeping your protein intake at a moderate level of about 50 to 75 grams a day to achieve ketosis, a state in which your body will use stored fat for fuel.
Which is exactly what you want for weight loss. Then eat fat until you are full or until you reach your calories for the day whichever comes first.

Bacon Cheeseburger soup is a family favorite.
Dinners are usually a meat with cheese or a salad with a low carb biscuit on the side. You can find them at Costco or your can order them here on Amazon. I can only eat about 15 at a time which is one serving before it fills me up.
They are so tasty too! Dessert ideas are Halo Top Ice cream! You can find this at your local grocery store! Seriously good ice cream with no after taste!
I tend to also mix a few frozen blueberries or frozen strawberries with heavy cream if I need to up my fat numbers for the day.
Mix those ingredients together and it tastes just like ice cream! Another way to help up your fat numbers for the day is to have what they call fat bombs. We made some of our own fat bombs but I prefer to call them sugar free chocolate candy hearts because it sounds much more pleasing than fat bombs. These are just a few ideas to help get you started. Stay tuned for many more. This actually happened to me and I made it work. We have a page on Facebook dedicated only to really good Keto Friendly Recipes that you can follow here.
If I guaranteed no more shipments are coming to my name or my address that should be the end of the story, not with them! I am fighting them through my credit card company but please be aware of whatever traps they have in store for any of you. Hi Troy — Sorry to hear that that was your experience. It was actually a customer service rep who told me I could switch from the meal delivery to just the Turbo Shakes after my first month on the program to lock in the auto-delivery savings without having to commit to another month of food.
In any case, I hope you are able to get things resolved! I started the program today, January 1st. My resolution is to feel better about myself, but do it in a healthy way that had structure. How much and when I should be eating vegetables, and ideas on what to eat if you have to attend a social function or business based meeting that involves food.
Thanks for posting a well written, and information overview of this program. I have three questions and maybe one is a question for a NS counselor… 1. Or can tomatoes, cukes, etc. Also, plain or with some sort of dressing? How many turbo shakes can you have per week… and when can they be consumed? Thanks in advance …. Hi Tami — Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment! I always add extra veggies to my greens and have found the only thing you really need to watch out for is the salad dressing.
But for me, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I usually have my TurboShake midday — around 2: That said, I would definitely suggest using the Nutrisystem counseling service for full clarification, though — especially for questions 2 and 3. Best of luck if you decide to try the full program! I wanted to say that this article is nicely written and included almost all the vital info I needed.
Thanks for the review. I second your recommendation for Nutrisystem. Their service helped me significantly a few years ago. Hoping for the same results! Hi Maria — thanks for commenting! Hope it goes well again if you decide to give it another try. Have you found that Nutrisystem is a good way for keeping the weight off over the long term? How long do you really have to be on Nutrisystem before you starting seeing results? Just finished month 1 and lost about 9 pounds!
This post could not be written any better! Reading this post reminds me of my good old room mate! He was always trying new weight loss products. I will forward this page to him. Fairly certain he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing! I just read this well written post. I have a handicapped daughter who has gained so much weight.
We have tried everything with very little success. After taking to her doctors we decided to give NS a try. She started the program on February 16, She is loving the food and the program. She has already dropped three pounds. Her beginning weight was So she has a long way to go. But the support and your post will definitely help her obtain her goals for healthier lifestyle.
We will keep you informed on her progress. Thank you so much. Hi Shirley — What an inspirational story — really hoping she has success! Thanks for keeping us posted, and wishing your daughter all the best. I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!! I have been on Nutrisystem for about 5 weeks now. I lost 15 pounds the first month and have been following it to a T. The food tastes fine and it is very easy to just grab something pop it in the microwave if necessary and go.
I have been using My Fitness Pal to track my food and am eating about calories a day. The first week was really tough and I had a hard time, but I stuck to it. Now I m satisfied and use to it. Planning on finishing up the second month and then on the 3rd month working in more home cooked meals and tracking to stay at the same calorie level. Then will switch over to the auto ship of Turbo shakes for my 4th month.
I have about 40 pounds to lose and feel like I am making some good headway with the Nutrisystem plan. Good job on the review, very well written. Wow, nice job Carolyn! Thanks for sharing your story, and best of luck with the rest of your diet. I was very happy to find this website.
Just wanted to thank for your time for this wonderful read, and inspirational review!! Hi Kelly — sorry to hear that! Have you tried connecting with the Nutrisystem counseling service? We had to take Nutrisystem program for 8 weeks because we got it at a discount thru our insurance company.
My goal was to loose 30 lbs. At the end of the 8 weeks I had lost only 3 lbs. We did not care for the cardboard like food and did not get anywhere close to our goals. This program obviously works for lots of folks, but not for us. We did go to the Naturally Slim program and in 8 weeks I lost Naturally Slim is based on not what you eat but when and how you eat and you eat your own real food and got real results.
We will stay with our new habits learned with Naturally Slim and will not have any good words from our Nutrisystem experience.
Hi John — thanks for sharing your experience. Thanks so much for sharing your story. It was encouraging and helpful. I am only on my second day of Lean 13 and after comparing the Turbo Shakes with the protein powder I was using before, I noticed that mine was lower in calories, fat, sugar, and carbs and higher in protein by quite a lot. Thanks again for your review! Hi Peggy — I think you should be fine using your own protein shake.
Just to be safe you may want to talk to a Nutrisystem counselor, and they can let you know for sure. The biggest issue would probably be the calorie count of your shake vs. Best of luck with your two weeks.
I made some raspberry coffee and chilled it. Thought that might be a nice tip for someone else. Just finished day 1 of the Turbo Takeoff… I was down 2 lbs this morning!!!
Yay… only 58 more lbs to go!!! I am so determined and my mind is in the right place to really do this, this time.. I am very excited for the results.. I know i will be on the program for a few months but, I really feel like I need the structure of this program right now.
I have been feeling a lot of emotions from having gone through breast cancer and several surgeries the last 3 years… I just kinda let myself go… but, I am so ready for this change!!! Thanks for sharing, Lynn! Best of luck with reaching your goals! Very thorough review…thanks for making the decision easier! I just signed up for my first order. Went with the Core, and really hoping to least a good 20 pounds.
Just finished month 1. Does this stuff really work? Thanks for the comment, Heather…It definitely works when you follow the program correctly. Best of luck if you decide to try it! First, take the time to put the food on a plate like you would normally eat. Focus on the journey. Take the time to praise yourself for the positive change.
I started on Nutrisystem exactly 2 months ago with a week lapse. I only wish I had started months before. Question first great info as I really need something kind of no Brainerd and ready. How long in your experience would you say orders take to turn around? I am currently out of town but want to have the product arrive day if or day after returning so I can hit the ground running.
Thanks ahead for any info. Hi Deb — Thanks for visiting. If I remember correctly, the last time I ordered it only took 3 or 4 days to get my shipment. Thanks for the review! This was helpful in determining which program to start! I also appreciate your thoroughness and videos.
